Has anyone been buying "Scrapbook Trends"? Had seen it mentioned online before but had never seen it in our shops here - then last month I noticed a smaller mag in one of our newsagencies. Looks like it's the UK version. Found another one this week, the July edition, in the same newsagency - not seeing it in any other shops here ( & I visit quite a few places that sell mags). No articles, just all pics of LOs, cards, OTP stuff, not even much advertising. Love the big pics - no trouble at all seeing the details.

I haven't heard of this one but will have a look for it when at the newsagent.
What other magazines do you ladies like to read?
I have subscribed to Scrapbooking Memories but find it doesn't have really have much to read - like tutorials (although there are heaps of layouts to look at).
I am a bit of a magazine junkie...but because of the cost have been trying not to buy any...that way I have more money for product and new tools *yesyes*

I've just let my subscription for SM run down.. I was finding that i never had time to really look through it, so I figured i would just buy it if I wanted it, rather than get it every month!

I don't subscribe to any but I buy most of them as I see them. Like Kris, I'm finding I don't read them very thoroughly anymore but I love to have a magazine ready to flick through. I get pretty frustrated with mags that use bright pastel coloured print against bright white pages - wish they'd stick to black & white so I could read them. And tiny photos are pointless - don't they realise we want to see the detail in LOs? Think my favourite is still the UK "Scrapbooking Inspirations" because it's so easy for me to read, but I think our mags are up there with the best. Beautifully produced & some wonderful pages to check out. Great talent in Oz.

Barbie, I hope you like the magazine too now that you have specially ordered it. Have never read that Ned Kelly book, although I own it - have only glanced through it, looking for materials I was planning to use in an English class at one time. Bushranging history is interesting - and fancy you having a connection to Kelly himself. Mine is to a bushranger called Lowry, well enough known to be included in various books, but not much seems to be known about his origins. My g-grandmother had instructions from her family (her mother was a Lowry) to try to find him when she migrated to Australia in 1883, as no one had heard from him (think there was a brother too), but she stopped looking when she learned that he had been hanged for bushranging. Don't know if I'll ever prove the connection but it's a fascinating tidbit.
